Hey everybody, long time no talk! I have been extremely busy living life to the fullest. I got married, my wife and I got a puppy, and I started a new full time job as a patient care tech – all while still going to school full time. Sounds like I got a lot on my plate right? Sounds like I am living life right? Well, I am here today to say I have not been living the way I was supposed to be living. To explain why I said this, I am going to tell you a little story: Continue reading “Livin’: Body, Mind, and Spirit”
The whistle blows and everyone in the factory gets to go home in Baxter Springs, Kansas. Three of said workers at this steel factor were young boys from the near-by town of Greans. These boys were well on their way into manhood, but they had not seen much of the world outside these two towns and they still loved to play. So, on the way home, they stopped to explore the caves some – as many young men would.

This last month has easily contained the most problems we have ran into with our progress charting for you all in these “Setting the Bar” posts! Our last six weeks actually should have been half-way through August; however, some of our team was not healthy enough to make the post. Sense we have had these health issues and other complications, we have learned a lot about the reality of health for the body, mind, and soul.
Hopefully, seeing how we all have handled our health throughout these difficult situations can help inspire all of you reading to do your best in difficult situations, as well. Hopefully, all of us on the writting team here can help inspire one another, also.

I’m tad bit OCD.
So to me, plans are a tad bit attractive.
I don’t just love planning; I love planning plans. Heck, I love planning plans to plan plans.
I see some nice plans and have to use my index finger to lower my shades to my nose and wink at them real quick. Dat plan. So organized, dotted points, crisp border, slick font, arrows, boxes and circles. I like all of dat.

People always have questions about whether or not they can judge others, or whether or not others can judge them. Too often do I hear stuff like “Jesus said, ‘judge not lest ye be judged,’ so you can’t judge me!” or “You can’t tell me what to do! Your Bible says that you aren’t supposed to judge me!” or from other believers I might hear, “I know I’m not supposed to judge but can’t I at least speak up against….” The truth is that we all make judgments about everything we come in contact with and that’s perfectly fine.

Something I really hate to do is apologize. Not because I’m a bad person or because I think it wrong…. It’s just hard for me. I have to apologize for some of my past mistakes and past teachings. I have been glorifying and romanticizing self-sacrifice to the point that I missed the point of scripture at certain points in my life. I would love to just start with that straight apology and get it over with, but as a story teller I have forbade myself from starting with the climax.

Children, it is the last hour, and as you have heard that antichrist is coming, so now many antichrists have come. Therefore we know that it is the last hour (1 John 2:18 ESV).
We created sin. We often create our own demons, antichrists, and downfalls. Just like the kingdom of heaven is not coming but is already here, so one may argue that the end times are not coming but are already upon us. We can either live in fear and create our own end, or we can choose to spread the messages of love, salvation, and hope durring these times.
Each soul is a spark thrown out into a dark world. We can choose to either light the world ablaze with fear and hatred or with hope and love. Continue reading “The Parable of The Mark and The Hellfire”
